GLENDALE, Calif. — Glendale’s annual Cruise Night returned Saturday, turning the stretch of Brand Boulevard from East Broadway to East Doran Street into a showcase of over 400 classic cars. The free event drew an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people, according to Community Services and Parks.
The event featured giveaways and activities, and brought vendors and community organizations from across the city. Booths from the Glendale Police Department, Fire Department, Glendale Water and Power, and others gave residents a chance to engage with city services throughout the day.

The main stage held five hours of live entertainment, kicking off with a Johnny Cash tribute, followed by Yachtzilla, a the presentation of awards at 8:30 PM, and closing off with Desperado, an Eagles tribute at 10:30 PM.
Cruise Night is an annual event held every third Saturday of July, featuring pre-1985 and exotic cars. The first cruise night in Glendale took place in 1994, coinciding with the 1994 FIFA World Cup final being played at the Rose Bowl in neighboring Pasadena. The turnout was so large that the city decided to make it an annual event.
