GLENDALE, CA — Glendale’s Library, Arts & Culture Department is seeking design proposals for the city’s Creative Crosswalks Program, aiming to bring new artwork to 14 intersections across the city.
Locations for the improvement project include a stretch of North Glendale Avenue, California Avenue and its adjacent streets, and a stretch of San Fernando Road. This year’s theme, “Glendale Sister Cities,” will spotlight Glendale’s 11 sister cities.
According to proposal requirements, artworks cannot include directional markings, logos, text, or other elements that could distract drivers.
The new designs will be an addition to the city’s existing creative crosswalks, including the La Crescenta Avenue crosswalks redesigned in August 2026 and the San Fernando Road crosswalks redesigned in October 2024.
The city set a proposal deadline for October 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM. See more details on the Glendale Arts and Culture website.
