BASTROP, TX — The newly created X account for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been verified with a grey verification checkmark, usually only reserved for government organizations and officials.

The newly created and verified account posted Thursday that they will be accepting “super high-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting,” going on to say “If that’s you, DM this account with your CV. Elon & Vivek will review the top 1% of applicants.”

The Department of Government Efficiency was first announced by President-Elect Donald Trump in a statement on Tuesday. Trump nominated billionaire businessman Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the department.

The proposed department is not currently in existence, though, because establishment of any new federal department requires formal approval from Congress.
